With BIGVU, you can create engaging video landing pages with one click. However, these landing pages will be part of the BIGVU domain.
A BIGVU landing page typically starts with bigvu.tv/pages. But you can modify and change this to adopt your domain using a CNAME!
There are two steps to complete this process:
Set the CNAME record on your DNS provider
To add a CNAME for BIGVU pages, you first need to create a CNAME record on your DNS provider. This process is slightly different for each DNS, but you can easily find help by searching: "How to add CNAME record <DNS name>" on google
Here’s a brief guide to setting up a CNAME with GoDaddy:
Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio
Click the 3 dots to the domain you want to update
Select Edit DNS (You may need to scroll down to see Edit DNS)
Select Add New Record
From the Type menu, choose CNAME
Enter the details for your new CNAME record
In the Host field, type www if you’re using a root domain (i.e., www.mysite.com), or else, type the respective subdomain (i.e., elearning if you’re using elearning.mysite.com for your TalentLMS portal)
In the Points to field, enter pages.bigvu.tv
Leave the TTL setting to 1 hour.
2. Add your domain to BIGVU
Login to your account on BIGVU Desk at desk.bigvu.tv
(1) Click on the icon on the top right and (2) select Profile, as shown below
On your Profile, Click "Domain" (1) on the left menu pane. Then, enter the domain you created in your CNAME record, and click "Verify" (2)
Before you can use your domain, we will need to verify if everything is working properly. This process might take up to a day. You will be notified when the domain is verified and ready.
Once your domain is verified, any page you create will work with your domain instead of BIGVU's! 👏
