Live Streaming on LinkedIn - access criteria & connection

Connect with your audience by going live on social media and responding to them in real-time. Look cool and natural while going live by using the BIGVU teleprompter. Say goodbye to fumbling with your words and hello to effortless poise on camera!

👥 Who can access this feature? Available to AI Pro and AI Pro Team Plans
📶 Which devices support this feature? Available on iOS and the Web platform only.

💬 Which social media platforms? You can go Live on LinkedIn from BIGVU but also on Youtube and Facebook.



All members can join LinkedIn Lives as viewers. Eligible members and Pages can create and broadcast a LinkedIn Live.

There are no applications to request LinkedIn Live access. Eligibility to create and broadcast a LinkedIn Live is based on a set of criteria.

If you trigger a review of your profile or Page and fulfill the criteria, you can instantly create LinkedIn Lives.

If you do not meet one or more criteria, you will not have access to create or broadcast LinkedIn Lives.


The criteria to create and host LinkedIn Lives are:

Audience base
Members and Pages with more than 150 followers and/or connections are eligible to be evaluated for LinkedIn Live access.

A history of abiding by our Professional Community Policies
We want to ensure our members have a safe, trusted, and professional experience on LinkedIn, as defined by our [Professional Community Policies](https://www.linkedin.com/legal/professional-community-policies). Only members, Pages, and their admins that have a good standing record will be considered for Live Video access.

Geography
LinkedIn Live is not available at this time for members and Pages based in mainland China.


Once you meet all of the criteria of LinkedIn platform, you can go to BIGVU to start a Live session 🎬

As a LinkedIn creator, you can share the topics (hashtags) you post about the most. This will make it easier for other LinkedIn members to discover your content and follow you.

Desktop

To turn on creator mode on Desktop:

Click the Profile icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage:



Click View Profile.

Scroll down to Resources and click on Creator mode: Off.

Click Next on the Creator mode preview pop-up window.

Add topics (hashtags) to indicate the topics you post about the most.

Click Done.

Follow the prompts to turn on creator mode.



Before going live, you must connect your BIGVU account to the social media accounts to which you plan on going live

Create a Script Project



Open your account at http://desk.bigvu.tv

You need to open or create a script for your project to use this feature.

Click New Script to create a new script project or
Select your existing project by clicking it

Click the Live Streaming button



After creating your script, you are ready to go live! Just click on the blue Live Streaming button, located to the right of your script box



💡Pro-tip: Use two devices - one for streaming the video, and one for monitoring live comments.

Adjust Teleprompter Settings



After clicking the Live Streaming button, the teleprompter window will open.



Learn more about how to adjust the settings so that they are perfectly suited to you!



Select Destination



Choose the social media channels on which you would like to live stream. You can connect to LinkedIn directly from this screen by clicking on Add Social Channel or from the manage account screen.



After, you should select LinkedIn and then click on Live: Connect to stream live button.



Enter your Post



Enter the title and description text for your post on the selected Social Channel. Go ahead and write the key points you'll be discussing in your live.



Start Live Video



Smile! - Click on "Start Live Video" to start the Live session. Your text will start scrolling when the connection is established with your chosen social channel. This can take 10 to 15 seconds, so be patient!
