With BIGVU, you can create engaging video landing pages with one click. However, these landing pages will be part of the BIGVU domain.
A BIGVU landing page typically starts with bigvu.tv/pages. But you can modify and change this to adopt your domain using a CNAME!
Note: Using your own domain for BIGVU pages is available only on 4K Proš (Individual and Team accounts).
There are two steps to complete this process:
1. Setting the CNAME record on your DNS provider
To add a CNAME for BIGVU pages, you first need to create a CNAME record on your DNS provider. This process is slightly different for each DNS, but you can easily find help by searching: "How to add CNAME record <DNS name>" on Google.
Hereās a brief guide to setting up a CNAME with GoDaddy:
Sign in to your GoDaddy account and go to the My Products tab.
Select the domain you want to update.
Click Domain Settings.
In the Additional Settings section, select Manage DNS.
On the DNS Management page, in the Records section, click Add.
From the Type drop-down list, choose CNAME.
In the Host field, type www if youāre using a root domain (i.e., www.mysite.com) or else, type the respective subdomain (i.e., elearning if youāre using elearning.mysite.com for your TalentLMS portal).
In the Points to field, enter pages.bigvu.tv
Leave the TTL setting to 1 hour.
Click Save.
Note: 1. Your changes may take up to 48 hours to go live. |
Make sure to point the CNAME record to pages.bigvu.tv
2. Add your domain to BIGVU
Login to your account on BIGVU Desk at desk.bigvu.tv
Press on the icon on the top right, as shown below
Select Profile. Click "Domain" (1) on the left menu pane. Then, enter the domain you created in your CNAME record, and click "verify" (2)
Before you can use your domain, we will need to verify if everything is working properly. This process might take up to a day. You will be notified when the domain is verified and ready.
Once your domain is verified, any page you create will work with your domain, instead of BIGVU's!
